Travel assistance insurance
If you like travelling abroad, or your work requires you to, take up what the insurers offer so that you have assistance and timely medical care in the event of an accident or sudden illness. This insurance protects not only your health: it also pays compensation for the unforeseen circumstances that can arise while you are out of the country.
Who it is for
- those travelling as tourists – on their own or with an organised group

What is covered
The basic cover reimburses the cost of:
- medical care and treatment as an outpatient and in hospital, including emergency dental care
- repatriation to Bulgaria
- burial abroad
- COVID-19 cover
Limits of liability from EUR 5,000 to EUR 100,000 – at the client’s choice.
The basic cover can be extended with further covers, chosen by the client and against payment of an additional premium.
Additional covers, paying for risks, for costs incurred and for services received:
- accidental death
- permanent loss of working capacity following an accident
- a daily allowance for a stay in hospital
- legal assistance
- hotel costs for a minor
- transport for a minor
- a relative’s visit
- delivery of medication
- passing on messages and changing reservations
- loss of documents and credit cards (tourists only)
- loss of or damage to personal belongings, luggage or valuables (tourists only)
- delayed arrival of luggage
- lost luggage
General third party liability pays compensation up to the agreed limit of liability.
What it will cost you
The premium is set by the insurer’s tariff, according to the limit of liability chosen for medical expenses, the additional covers chosen, the length and purpose of the trip, the age of the insured person and the territory the policy is valid in.
